Is the Yamaha U1 made in Japan? I’ve been stocking Yamaha U1 pianos since 2004 and I am often asked whether they are made in Japan, Indonesia, China… or Milton Keynes! So I thought I’d make this little page to help other people find the answer to this common question. I’ve given a slightly waffly, long-winded answer below so I thought I’d give a quick summary to start with just in case you are in a hurry. Here you go:
Summary: The Yamaha U1 has been made in Japan for decades but more recently Yamaha have started to use local factories all over the world for their U1 production. Up until a couple of years ago, your brand new Yamaha U1 would have been made by Kemble for Yamaha in the Kemble factory in Milton Keynes. But Kemble have now closed that factory and moved their production out to Indonesia (oh dear!) so I’m not exactly sure where the new UK ones are made any more. I suspect/hope it is Japan but I need to do more research. What I am certain of is that all of my own reconditioned Yamaha U1 pianos which I have in stock are 100% genuine Japanese made pianos.

The manufacture location of a piano is much more important than the name written above the keys. For instance, the names Gors & Kallman or Weber might suggest that those pianos were made in Germany. However, the truth is that a Chinese manufacturer bought up the name and started making pianos bearing that brand. This is typical of the piano industry at the moment. They will use a German brand, they will ask a German man to put his name to the design, throw in a few German action parts for good measure et voila you have a “German Piano”, yeah right! What they don’t tell you is that the entire piano is made with budget parts, in a budget factory , cutting every corner possible and paying horrendously low wages so that the pianos can be sold to distributors brand new for about £600. Yep, that’s right, they come off the production line and are sold to distributors for about £600. If you’ve ever wondered why antique pianos have lost all of their value these days, there is your reason: dealers can buy brand new “German pianos” for £600. Ouch! I’ve gone a bit off topic there so just to confirm, YES all of my Yamaha U1 pianos in stock were made in Japan but many of the more recent brand new U1s being sold in the UK (and all over the world) were not made in Japan.
我知道华人都是买Yamaha和Kawai，是不是主要还是因为有团购价格低外加保值？
我本来也想华人热门款选一个就好，但是无奈本地被垄断，每个牌子只有一个authorized dealer，根本没法谈价钱。比如u1我看团购7000左右的价格，我们这里要11000。K300也要到8000，我也没有找到本地团购信息，dealer自己说附近中国社区好久没有group buy了。
我可以出10000买个upright，但是我不想花大头钱，人家7000买的琴我要花11000没法接受，小农心理。
所以请懂行的mm推荐一下，差不多价位有没有更值得购买的琴推荐。

但是我发贴的初衷不是抱怨钢琴贵舍不得买 而是觉得我们这里y和k价钱离谱 感觉我买了就是被宰一刀
虽然说好孩子不一定需要好琴的道理我都懂 但是我的个性是喜欢在预算内尽可能买好的买喜欢的
这个钱我们拿出来没有负担 以后孩子不练了也不会觉得可惜或者心疼这个钱 但是我还是小农心理不愿意花大头钱出一万去买yamaha 所以请大家推荐类似预算其它琴 我可以去看看
钢琴团购跨洲很平常，周边的州有华人圈的， 也去多打听打听。
或者就按楼上的MM说的，先买个二手的看看，若孩子真的有兴趣， 说不定还想着一步到三角呢
另外挑二手琴可以找钢琴调音师问问可不可以付费请他们帮忙，要么就买二十年以内有保养记录的主流琴，一般也不会差到哪里去，价格可就好看多了。
我刚刚把一个状况很好的Yamaha U1卖了，只卖了3300。。。是2006买的，还是日本造的。是不是卖的太便宜了？
其实也无所谓，希望这台琴给下一个孩子带来欢乐
Yamaha Clavinova 和Arius系列都适合初学者，而且声音手感都酷似真钢。价格小几千。你可以先去琴行试试，👀喜欢哪个，然后craglist和ebay搜你家附近是否有人卖二手的。电钢的二手琴可以便宜一半。

我买大琴的时候觉得tradein 太便宜就没卖摆家里也好看。
我家没出什么需要保修的严重问题，团购送了第一次的调音，大概一个月内来的。之后就都是自己花钱调了，据说好一点的调音师都可以修一些常见的小问题。
朗朗小时候练琴用的是破旧的珠江。我亲戚的一个孩子用珠江练到十级，一个朋友的孩子雅马哈半年就成了摆设。
我当时想买琴的时候也这么想，但是后来娃的钢琴老师主动offer帮我去选，选了一个60年代的旧琴但是老师说弹起来很不错，才花了2500，非常满意。很推荐你和老师聊聊，或者花钱找个technician陪你去挑。
我开始也是这么想，U1k300的价格都问好了，结果找到懂琴的只花了一半的钱买了二手的，还是K500。庆幸没多花钱。

我其实理解我们这里运输要加一些钱的 也愿意多付一点 但是一个琴贵出大几千没法接受

不要鄙视珠江，我对珠江感情挺深厚的。。。家里是音乐学院的，我蹭琴房练琴都是老珠江。。。不过现在全换成斯坦威了，不喜欢

没有鄙视的意思，我的娃也用珠江，不过是高一点的配置。珠江给孩子学琴，足够了，等发现真是可造之才，再投资不迟。通常啊，八成成了家具。日本琴的琴键反弹速度确实快，但是说实在的不搞专业也区别不大。
小孩子学钢琴最好不要用电钢，琴键感觉跟真钢有差异，感受琴键敲击琴弦的反馈是和钢琴交流的过程，非常重要。成人学钢琴电子琴足矣。
给你个参考。 我家是yamaha U3,儿子考完了十级。有次在邮轮上他弹了乐队的Roland电钢，不停的给我说这个电子琴真不错，以后他要自己买一个。 还有一次在一个人家弹了U1,很不喜欢说声音太尖锐，在教会弹grand piano 就真的很enjoy.
我建议是先买个Roland的weighted hammer action keyboard 先学个一年，也就一千出头，小孩子第一年都在练姿势，每天能练十五分钟就不错了。第二年看情况再决定要不要上acoustic.
你这个建议和你儿子的经历完全不同啊，他是一路钢琴学出来了，再去摸电子琴，已经能分辨差异。如果是初学者，电钢手感和钢琴差的真的远，最初并不是仅仅是练姿势，更是练手感和耳朵对声音的感觉，这俩都恰好是电钢和钢琴不一样的地方。

搞反了。你应该先查查本地有那些琴行。打电话问他们都是那个牌子的authorized dealer。然后再来让大家参谋。不然牌子一大堆本地都没有dealer，又有啥用？
我再多说些给楼主做参考。
我对儿子学琴的期望也就是如果喜欢一个曲子自己可以读乐谱弹出来就可以了。我不希望逼得太狠他长大后再也不碰了。
他一岁多时给买了一个大概一百元的雅马哈电子琴，还没有88键，就让他乱玩呗。他会跟着内存的曲子装模作样的弹，不过点还是找得准。大概五岁时试了一圈课外活动，让他自己选，当时就给他说你自己决定了就不能放弃，他自己选的要学钢琴。跟老师学的第三个月就觉得琴键不够了😂， 得上88键，才去买了琴。
我也是理工科乐盲，第一年他每星期学一小时，我接着学半小时，这样他的作业我大概跟得上。每天陪着练琴。 到大概第五年我就听不出来细微的区别了，他练琴敷衍我然后每星期都被老师骂哭。每次出来我都说你如果要放弃也行，但是多出来的时间得学个另外的，不能打游戏。所以这些年哭是😭但是还是练出来了，最后三年的recital他都是压轴，其他小小孩的妈妈都会来问他每天要练多久，其实他每天也就最多半小时，就这半小时也不停的要起来喝水上厕所什么的。
我的意思是如果你不是要推小孩当专业选手，真的不用太紧张。

所以五岁的时候买的钢琴学啊，没觉得和我说的有什么矛盾之处啊。。。我感觉楼主发帖是问买什么钢琴以及怎么买能拿到价格好点吧？这就好比想学网球，你递个羽毛球拍，或者反过来，想学羽毛球，你给买把网球拍，这和放轻松的关系？我就是告诉楼主这俩拍子感觉不一样啊。

对不起我没表达清楚。
我意思是在买真钢之前他也玩了几年电子琴，也没把手弄坏。 这些年他也弹了其他各个牌子的琴,真钢电钢都有，他的比较标准就是自己的U3,基本上真钢就是往上走的他就喜欢，往下他就觉得不行，这个都理解，一分钱一分货。Roland 的电钢让他评价比basic model 真钢高我当时还是比较意外，还故意问了他据说电钢不一样，他说有一点但是基本可以忽略。
其实可以找本钢琴调音或维修原理之类的书看看？我原来有本讲如何调琴的书，你要是感兴趣我可以发个PDF版给你。
至少了解下钢琴的结构嘛。传统钢琴已经100多年没有大的结构变化了，而且打开看里面只要1分钟的时间。买二手钢琴比买二手车容易一千倍。
影响琴质量和音色的有工艺和材料的差别。总的来说新的琴越来越不容易买到好木料了。金属板倒是差不多。

我看过根本不用什么仪器，拿手机上的app。不就是频率嘛，耳朵能听到的的手机的麦克风都能采集到。
我们是从Roland电钢开始的，costco买的，很方便。一年的时候不得不换了，因为老师总说他力量不够，弹一些notes不够deep。这好像是弹电钢小朋友常有的毛病。然后换了acoustic钢琴，我儿子立刻就说手感不一样了，可以弹到琴 “里面”了。老师说的那些毛病慢慢都没有了。
我们本来是去买旧 U1 的，试了琴觉得 b 系列可以满足所有要求, 最后买了 b 系列的新琴，比 u1 旧琴还便宜。家里我和娃两个人都弹。如果将来娃水平高，就 trade-up 一个三角。u1 的声音其实不如店里一个2000块的六十年代的旧斯坦威。但是那个琴琴键破损有点严重，我们就没买。而 B3 的声音，我的耳朵和我娃的耳朵都没听出太大区别。
楼主你先要明白自己要的是什么。是为了投资娃学琴，还是为了投资保值。娃学琴，完全没必要非要日本产的 u1，没必要非得 Yamaha, 没必要非得跟着 huaren.us 的流行走

09’年的u1， 2015 年4000卖掉，我觉得还可以，差不多就是买来的价格。
很多琴商可以运外州的，价格也不贵。
我直接去琴行问的，才6000，他直接给我算团购里。另外找一下offer me吧，很多孩子学不下去的二手琴，如果时间不长也很划算。
