On April 1, Broomfield was admitted to the hospital with COVID-19. He was suffering from pneumonia and other serious complications. Loved ones said 80% of his lungs were blocked. “He was on a ventilator, he was in ICU, and honestly, he was not doing well,” said Dianne Trivelli, his sister-in-law.
