父母延期问题请教大家

现在的航班可能会取消 打算给父母办延期以防万一。

官方申请信上要求写reason that the extension of stay will be temporary, including the arrangement you made for leaving the US. 我写了父母在国内刚买了新房子，最近楼刚造好，他们必须回国验收和签署法律文件，所以肯定会回国。我的问题是，我需要先给他们买好延期的回城机票，作为“the arrangement you made for leaving the US”？
