我早年在vegas念书的时候我老板有一天幽幽地对我说，我一个associate professor，deputy head，居然还不如我邻居两口子有钱，人家一个赌场dealer，一个valet parking，我工作还比他们累。安慰了几句他说不过我退休了有稳定待遇。没等接话他又说，可是我邻居已经有四个房子了，人家可以收租过日子啊。说完又抑郁了。
