I did it last month and everyone was happy. Company was happy; boss was happy; I was happy. But think through the points why (what is good for the company, what is good for your team) and how (i.e., the terms you want to negotiate) before you speak to your boss/HR. Good Luck!
The sign on bonus repayment is negotiable. It can be part of your terms if you ask for a 'lay-off'. Often time, company legal calls it 'Separation Agreement'. They offer you: 1) you can still stay if you want to; 2) but if you decide to go, the separation agreement including the following XYZ (i.e., your negotiation points).

楼主应该是工科类的专业,就是有项目做,就从项目拿钱,这个是billable的,没有项目做,就从人事部拿钱

哎,大家都一样,我们也开始建议PTO了,估计下一步就是鼓励unpaid leave了,可是如果unpaid leave,属于个人自愿的,就不能申请失业救济了?
没想那么多,就是强制一个月必须休多少天,希望大家半年之内把今年的PTO都休完,然后等疫情过去火力全开,就不能休了
