10:55 am - Antimalarials are
authorized in Italy. Chloroquine and hydroxychloroquine-based antimalarial drugs are authorized in Italy: they are fully charged to the National Health Service for the treatment of patients with Sars-CoV2 infection. It reads in the Official Journal. Also authorized for the same use are the combinations of the anti-AIDS drugs lopinavir / ritonavir, danuravir / cobicistat, darunavir, ritonavir, these also paid for by the National Health Service.

Coronavirus, the sacrifice of the 45 doctors. Who are they: stories, faces and sacrifices

Many family doctors but also dentists, infectious disease specialists and anesthesiologists. Healthcare workers infected with the coronavirus rose to 6,205. They lost their lives to save that of their patients

The list of their names is published on the site listed in mourning by the National Federation of the Order of Doctors and Dentists. And it is getting longer: today they have reached 45 . An expanse of crosses, of people who put on their shirts like armor and went to work without ever sparing. Like Roberto Stella, president of the Varese Medical Association, who was 67 years old and was the first to fall. Like Gino Fasoli, with his 73 years, his long experience of volunteering in Africa and his retirement interrupted to return to the front line to help colleagues. Or like Santino Forzani, medical director in Novara and last name in chronological order of this black list: he died last night. Roberto, Gino, Giulio and the other colleagues. Unknown to most but for everyone unforgettable.

Ivano Garzena, 49 years old

The child-friendly dentist. He is the youngest of the victims
He built airplanes and joy. Ivano Garzena is the youngest of the doctors who have died so far in our country. He was 49 years old, a dentist with a dental practice in Collegno, in the metropolitan city of Turin. His colleagues describe him as a professional with great dexterity, his friends as a man of inexhaustible energy. One of those who in a group makes a difference by initiative and good humor. He had an absolute talent for model aircraft. It seemed that every single piece to be assembled obeyed his manual ability and in front of the "creature" created with his hands, in the end, that peaceful and amusing big man was happy as a child. They remember him at the Pianezza airfield (north-west of Turin), they remember the children, above all. Because the lucky ones who have followed the evolution of some of his models in the summer days have sometimes experienced a little fairy tale. He, Ivano, flew an airplane loaded with candies and a few drops fell with each turn. A game that seemed like magic before the smiles and eyes full of wonder of the child of his life, his son Matteo, five years old. Dr. Garzena leaves his baby and his wife Simona who, like everyone in this time of farewells without greetings, has not been able to stay with him in the last days of life. Those who loved him like to imagine that he flew away on one of his pipers, perhaps laden with candy. he was flying an airplane loaded with candy and a few drops fell with each turn. Gaetano Author, 69 years old
The daughters and the social greeting: "You wanted to save others"

Gaetano Autore has left waiting for the outcome of the swab after spending the last days of his life next to the monster, the virus, that is, next to the patients he took care of until the forces allowed him to. He was a family doctor and coroner, he was 69 years old and a studio in Naples. He left while he was intubated at the Santa Maria delle Grazie hospital in Pozzuoli. The years of work and the registry age were enough to retire but he had chosen to continue a little longer and it was certainly not the fear of the virus that stopped him. The daughters, Roberta and Cristina, were unable to give him a kiss, give him a caress. They say goodbye to him via Facebook. Cristina, a journalist at the Parliament's press office, wrote a letter for him: «Hi dad. You put others' health before yours. You continued to work as a family doctor until the very end, your greatest passion. The virus took you away from us in a week, without giving us time to understand, to realize. I was far away and hadn't seen you in a long time. I will miss you always and every day, because we had a unique, special symbiotic relationship: pure love. Thanks for everything, you are my angel and my great example of life. You will always be here with me ». Roberta remembers the horizons seen with him many times on a boat, in the middle of the sea: "For me you have always been a safe harbor where to take refuge". to achieve. Marcello Natali, 57 years old The last text message to the friend. «It's not good, I don't breathe» THEOn March 13, the last message to a friend: "Unfortunately, I'm not going well, I'm not breathing. I foresee a tube in the short / medium term ». Marcello Natali was general practitioner, as well as secretary of the Federation of his category, in Lodi. He was 57 years old and no previous pathology that risked complicating his clinical picture. Yet he didn't make it. When the virus attacked his lungs, when respiratory parameters went well below limits, he understood that his path would lead him to intensive care. This is why he had written that "simple, direct, rational" message, says his friend Irven Mussi, a family doctor in Milan. Born and raised in the Bolognese area, in a small town called San Giorgio di Piano, where his father Mario was a doctor who was led for a lifetime, Doctor Natali then moved to Caselle Landi, in the Lodi area, with his wife, also a health worker, and two children. As a family doctor, he followed patients in six municipalities, including Codogno, which has become a symbol of the most serious emergency ever. He was well aware of the risk he ran, especially with home visits from people who did not know whether or not they were infected. In a radio interview he had talked about the "too long" times of the swabs but had never pulled back. As his friend Irven says: "The first to enter the war, with fear, but with a greater sense of duty".
