华人入学是 努力学习家长投入earn 的,和某些族裔需要这个那个照顾不一样。 现在是这个法案是族裔名额制,让华人把 earn 的名额让出来给需要照顾的族裔。 不知道和你口罩的例子有啥关系。

你这帖子满满的外宣元素。夸大并渲染所谓的歧视。我来美国20年就从来没见过歧视。你要整天感觉被歧视,只能说你能力非常有问题,你的娃能力也非常有问题。
你按本事,你不需要生存在这个社会大环境中,你何必跟人家争人家社会一部分的大学呢?你花大量时间学习是为了你自己接受更好的教育,对这个社会没有任何贡献,人家的大学建立的宗旨就不是为了只选拔精英只培养利己主义者,凭什么要别人对你只按入学条件录取。你按本事那现在疫情流行入院治疗也按照能力来好了,在美国无亲无故没有社会背景没有依靠又没枪的华人靠边站,先治疗精英人才。
好像是说要把大学名额按照种族分配,然后各个种族内部竞争。
比如黑人只需要和黑人竞争,分数再烂也可以上
亚裔需要和亚裔竞争,分数再高也可能被挤下来。

首先反对这个提案并不是反对帮助弱势群体。不能按种族给名额有两个原因,1。 帮助穷人和弱势群体,有一个比种族更管用的指标叫Socioeconomic status, 就是华人说的贫困线。按照这个照顾有需要的群体更公平,比如每个种族都有富人穷人,按钱更公平。
2。种族是一个人不能改变的东西,不应该作为被帮助的标准,这样对那些meritbased 录取的colored学生很不公平。别人会觉得他们是被照顾入学,而不是凭自己的实力。而按照上面的socioeconomic status的照顾,无法直接从皮肤看出来,而且一个人的socioeconomic status是可以通过努力被改变的,那些被帮助的人通过努力,达到了贫困线,就不应该继续接受帮助,而是把资源留给没到贫困线的人。

昨天在哪看到的一个英文评论说的很好,其实去掉考试,看领导才能,看课外活动,看比赛得奖这些穷人的孩子更竞争不过,而且富人有更多的机会钻空子,考试不是最公平的方式,但也就只有考试让穷人有了竞争的可能。
