NEW YORK NOW ALLOWING FOREIGN TRAINED IMGs TO WORK IN NY HOSPITALS IF NEEDED FOR COVID19

****UPDATE: PENDING CLARIFICATION about the definition of “Graduate Medical Education” here. if this is referring to reducing licensure requirements for IMGs already in residency in NYS it is different than the ability to work temporarily with foreign residency training without licensure. I have inquired with NYS for clarification. ****
FYI I wrote to Governor Cuomo this past weekend after a friend of mine had a wonderful suggestion to allow IMGs who are unmatched, studying for exams, or not practicing medicine yet in the USA to be able to provide additional staffing or help for hospitals in need.
This is for IMGs that have had previous training or residency in their home country. US training would not be required. Often these are capable Doctors who can provide great support for understaffed hospitals full of Covid19 patients.

Update on H and J Visas for Medical Professionals Last Updated: March 26, 2020 We encourage medical professionals seeking to work in the United States on a work or exchange visitor, particularly those working to treat or mitigate the effects of COVID-19, to reach out to the nearest embassy or consulate to request a visa appointment. For those foreign medical professionals already in the United States: J-1 Alien Physicians (medical residents) may consult with their program sponsor, ECFMG, to extend their programs in the United States. Generally, a J-1 program for a foreign medical resident can be extended one year at a time for up to seven years. Note that the expiration date on a U.S. visa does not determine how long one can be in the United States. The way to confirm one’s required departure date is here: https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/#/home. Those who need to extend their stay or adjust their visa status must apply with USCIS. Their website is here: https://www.uscis.gov/visit-united-states/extend-your-stayhttp://ow.ly/EZ3V50yX6fK

没见一天就四万人sign up for volunteer吗?
sign up 了 volunteer 为什么要show w2?
点开楼主给的那个link "NOW, THEREFORE, I, Andrew M. 至少英语得流利吧,否则怎么跟其他人交流
