这周初有同事从外国回来，也不让WFH一段时间（人家也有顾虑 想 WFH 一下，结果已经有身体原因一直在家工作的经理非要求他来办公室）。感到周围不少人还受一些影响、把 COVID-19 还跟流感比、以为基本只有老年人with underlying health condition 的才受影响、一般人得了就像流感、没什么事……
感觉如果更多病毒蔓延，那不会是 safe work environment. 前两天跟同事们提了前面其他年龄段都有过死亡病例、年轻些的病人的肺也可能会有很大伤害，提了一些 美 COVID-19 testing 大问题的相关新闻（结果看来他们都不知道），回复他们某些人的回应：Informing people a few facts to be better prepared is not creating panic. This virus is a serious thing. Safe environment needs everyone to take precautions, not just few people to take precaution.
希望美国各地赶快 test fast, isolate and track cases, reduce infection spreading!

On February 29, a 46-year-old female went to Floyd Medical Center's Emergency Care Center in Rome with flu-like symptoms. Hospital officials said she didn't meet the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and Georgia Department of Public Health (GDPH) criteria for COVID-19 testing, so she was treated and released.
The patient started feeling worse and returned to the hospital a few days later on Tuesday. Hospital officials said she again didn't meet coronavirus testing criteria but was admitted due to her worsening condition. They then placed her in isolation.
After "adamant urging" from the doctor caring for her and the district health director, the CDC and GDPH finally authorized a COVID-19 test. That preliminary test came back positive.
…… State health officials joined Chu in asking the CDC and Food and Drug Administration to waive privacy rules and allow clinical tests in a research lab, citing the threat of significant loss of life. The CDC and FDA said no. "We felt like we were sitting, waiting for the pandemic to emerge," Chu told the Times. "We could help. We couldn't do anything."
They held off for a couple of weeks, but on Feb. 25, Chu and her colleagues "began performing coronavirus tests, without government approval," the Times reports. They found a positive case pretty quickly, and after discussing the ethics, they told state health officials, who confirmed the next day that a teenager who hadn't traveled abroad had COVID-19 — and the virus had likely been spreading undetected throughout the Seattle area for weeks. Later that day, the CDC and FDA told Chu and her colleagues to stop testing, then partially relented, and the lab found several more cases. On Monday night, they were ordered to stop testing again.

周三晚总统电视讲话，对付防疫、人们基本生活支持的对策不够啊，也不说对其他国家来的都要求测体温、要求自我隔离一段时间。
前面 CDC一直不 update guidelines （各种情况 每天变化很大好不好）, 2周了对意大利过来的，还不screen、发注意事项 信息……
