Cupertino 学区 11号就发信说了不算出勤了 你是不是miss了什么邮件啊 Dear CUSD Community, We recognize that these are extraordinary times and some parents may choose to keep their children home, regardless of whether the absences are excused or not excused. We will support families’ choice about what is best for their children and together with our teachers, we will take the following steps to ensure that no child’s grades will be negatively impacted by missed assignments due to absences between now and April 20, 2020, at which time the District will re-evaluate the situation. Between now and spring break, we are implementing a “grace period” for assessments. Teachers will not be required to administer classroom assessments during this time. Make-up sessions will be scheduled for students who miss state assessments (CAASPP) or other district assessments that impact class placement for the 2020-2021 school year. To address student learning needs and increase flexibility for teachers in assessing student progress, we will convert to a semester system for all schools this spring. Several of our schools already operate on this system, allowing students more time to learn and demonstrate progress before an official “grade” is given. Report cards will be completed in June 2020 (not in March as previously planned) to summarize student progress for the 2019-2020 school year. We will ensure that students’ transcripts appropriately reflect student learning over the course of the school year. Students at risk of retention will receive a progress report in March, per Board Policy. As always, parents who have concerns or questions about their child’s progress are encouraged to reach out to the teacher(s). Schools plan to return to traditional progress reporting schedules in the 2020-2021 school year.
