We know that Wuhan went from an index case in ~Nov-Dec 2019 to several thousand cases by mid-Jan 2020, thus going from initial seeding event to widespread local transmission in the span of ~9-10 weeks. We now believe that the Seattle area seeding event was ~Jan 15 and we're now ~7 weeks later.I expect Seattle now to look like Wuhan around ~1 Jan, when they were reporting the first clusters of patients with unexplained viral pneumonia. We are currently estimating ~600 infections in Seattle, this matches my phylodynamic estimate of the number of infections in Wuhan on Jan 1.Three weeks later, Wuhan had thousands of infections and was put on large-scale lock-down.However, these large-scale non-pharmaceutical interventions to create social distancing had a huge impact on the resulting epidemic.China averted many millions of infections through these intervention measures and cases there have declined substantially.

Still think that Wuhan is a different story. Maybe Seattle more like a non-Hubei city without good precautions, like certain city in China, or South Korea, or Italy...
I read some post from Wuhan it says if a patient gets on ECOM, very few actually survive... It is crucial to give right medicine (like Anti-AIDS or Remdesiv) to the patient BEFORE they have serious breathing problem But it needs test confirmed positive to able doctor perspective those medicine... So CDC killed this man, literally!
I would not quote that as the number. That’s the mortality in China — and they find cases fast, get them isolated, in treatment, and supported early. Second thing they do is ventilate dozens in the average hospital; they use extracorporeal membrane oxygenation [removing blood from a person’s body and oxygenating their red blood cells] when ventilation doesn’t work. This is sophisticated health care. They have a survival rate for this disease I would not extrapolate to the rest of the world. What you’ve seen in Italy and Iran is that a lot of people are dying.

R.I.P
It is true!!!

People should be prepared in case needing home self-isolated.
But all local government should prepare the shelter.
没症状 does not equal to not carry the virus. They could spread the virus to elderly people. Sigh...
Take care! Especially if you have parents there.
