Spend a little to do a good home inspection (which should give you an estimate what needs to be fixed and how much. The worst problem is molds due to water damage. Very hard and very expensive to get rid of.

谢谢coco 姐。就是纠结啊！我有朋友说可以下offer,拿到offer后walk thru的时候搞清楚到底情况如何，不行就walk away.
我就想问问，这种地基进水情况常见吗？我是买房小白。
我们另外一个房子是完全没有这个问题，所以我老公就非常介意。
sump pump 几百块不够，要几大千。
我家装sump pump就几百块搞定的。。。其实就是地上挖个坑，埋个大塑料桶的事。pump Amazon上就100多就可以买个不错的。我家请的小工一个下午就搞定了。我材料和pump都自己先买好，不用小工买，可以省很多。
不过这个的价格和crawl space 的高度有关。如果特别矮的crawl space，人进出不方便，得跪着做活，那就贵。我家的crawl space很高，人可以站起来，价格就非常affordable。
哇，你这个好便宜，我找了几家来看，都至少要5千，不过他们是沿着crawl space挖一圈。
我家crawl space一头地势高一头地势矮，所以就只在地势矮的那一头挖了一条短沟埋了一小段管子。然后地势矮的那头又是可以站着做活的，就很便宜就做下来了。
看来这个活儿价格真的和具体情况相关，还是让卖家去搞定比较省心。
18年进过水的话你要检查是否长过霉， 如果当时处理得好，没有长霉，那么加个Sump pump 就可以了。如果长过霉，就不能要了。
