Tell the parents the best practice is to withdraw the student from the public school and wait for 14 days. They can enroll after the 14day self monitoring. this is a very common practice for parents who want to take their kids for a vacation but do not want to leave absent.
maybe get a doctor's note? How do you dis-enroll and re-enroll from schools? Do they usually require you to any make up work or take a test to re-enroll?
早上一直在给学区email电话，刚刚小朋友的家长在群里分享，学校刚接到public health的通知，说愿意自我隔离的可以在家呆两周。所以问题解决了，从国内回来的小朋友可以自我隔离两周而不用算旷课。

上课前我们几个家长去找学校，学校说都听school district的，让给school district 打电话
孩子家长给district电话，说是只要是没有去过湖北，没有症状的，学区还是说一定要上学，否则就要退学了。（矿课两星期好像是不用重新enroll的上限，小朋友回国一般已经用掉这两个星期了）
提醒湾区其他公立学校的家长也注意

周末超级碗狂欢，估计除了华人真没多少老美关心这事，给学区负责卫生的打电话，老美公务员的办事效率大家都清楚的，何况还是加州呢。。。。。
那就问孩子的pcp什么建议，如果医生说建议在家隔离那就开个excuse note给学校，如果医生也不建议那就上学喽，到时万一有事家长也免责了，学校email看医记录都保存好，学校校长和医生担责。

公立学校如果小孩不去学校，那么学校就不能拿政府的funding，所以这校长很自私。
你就直接说小孩不舒服缺课，他们也不能把你怎么样。
