“ I don't think Macy's can afford losing customers like that! especially there are so many Chinese customers who spend billions of dollars here in Macy's.”

Store: Macy's Herald Square - Skin care & cosmetics
Counter: Origins
The Asian lady (she looks around 50 years old, about 5"3 tall, speaks cantonese and broken English, wears a pair of glasses) was very disappointing today. She works at the Origins at Macys Herald square location. On 1/8/2020 around 6pm, she approached me to sell the products. I politely talked to her in English. While I was checking the review of an eyecream on an app. She noticed that it was in Chinese and then guess what? Her attitude changed 180 degree. No smile, all despise in her eyes. Ironically, she is a Chinese descent herself who looks down upon Mandarin speaking customers. She was rushing me to buy the products and she gave a huge condescending look in a sarcastic tone such as "How come you don't know that? hahahah". I was so surprised by her and felt trapped in the store. It was very rude and unprofessional of her to do that.I am always nice to the sales but I immediately distanced myself from her after she ridiculed me a few times when I tried to ask questions about the product.
Please give her a lesson as NO DISCRIMINATION on any customers especially those from mainland and remain professional. I don't think Macy's can afford losing customers like that! especially there are so many Chinese customers who spend billions of dollars here in Macy's.

I'm xx, I'm writing here to share some unpleasant experience that I had with Origins sales today.
It's around 6pm when I was at Origins counter, the sales approached to me and introduced the products. While I tried to check reviews of an eyecream on my phone, she seemed not happy and her attitude changed by judging me that how come I hadn't even heard of it. I felt very uncomfortable actually and walked away without buying anything.
I just hope that every sales could keep professional by not judging a customer's knowledge about their products. After all, they're professionals.

Dear Macy’s Customer Relations, I am writing to share my concern about an interaction I had today at your Herald Square location.
At about 6PM the salesperson at the Origins counter approached me to try to sell some products. When she saw me use a Chinese app to check reviews for the products, her attitude changed. I asked her some questions about the products, but she mocked my questions and asked how I could not know the answers.
I don’t think her behavior was professional and I don’t think customers of any background should be made to feel uncomfortable. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Sincerely, ABCDEFG

但是我总是会笑着问can you speak Chinese?
