They want to learn more about how shorter treatment could impact quality of life. They’re also working on a cost-effectiveness analysis. The study, named Persephone, isn’t yet published in a peer-review journal. Findings will be presented Monday at the 2018 American Society of Clinical Oncology Annual Conference in Chicago.

If the patient has trouble tolerating it or if she has pre-existing cardiac issues, yes you can argue that we may shorten the course. But if she does not have either, why would you want to stop it early? In addition, you mentioned that her oncologist wants to administer other forms of chemo. Did they mention why? From the pathology report, all sampled lymph nodes were negative and it doesn't seem like there's any signs of distant metastasis. From all the available info so far, I don't see a reason to start chemo. On a different note. Do you know if she received a lympectomy or mastectomy? If it's the former, she also needs radiation.
