文理学校毕业之后未必会比州立大学有什么优势，但是这种学校的孩子一般出身的家庭都比较像样子，和州立大学鱼龙混杂相差很大，对刚离开家长的孩子的成长要好一些，这如同我们小时候上重点高中一样，未必老师就教的有多好，只是学校里氛围好，大家自然而然的成绩就会好一些，州立的孩子要很自律才能走的好，毕竟离开家长的监督，交友稍有不慎就会被拉到歧路上去。
学STEM专业的刚毕业的时候平均工资比学英语，历史这种专业的文科高。但是40岁以后文科专业生就超过STEM了。
这怎么可能呢，举例说明，公立大学里的历史教授，工资也就才7, 8万而已，怎么超过电子工程和计算机教授呢
收入跟年龄有什么关系呢？再老，不是热门专业，也没钱吧
她应该是举了一些当老板的和自己STEM的员工做比较。
说白了，不管你是文科还是STEM，当老板才是硬道理，打工公司只有那么高。
单纯想说都上大学了 还要担心同学把娃带坏 如果这点自控能力都没有 大学毕业呢？ 找对象结婚呢? 总要有放手的一天吧
40岁以后文科专业超过了stem,想啥呢，别说一两个反例没用。
文理学院又不是只有文科
什么？ 你从哪儿得来的学校给每个人都会发各种名目的奖学金？ 排名前面的那几个LAC，好些都是need blind admission need based FA , 怎么可能每个人都拿到钱？
可能的优势，小班上课，师生比好，校内人均资源丰富（至少想上哪儿看书不用人挤人），想选的课都能选上，不会因为选不上课延迟毕业。 校内工作机会多，成绩好的本科生能找到TA的活，对找工作估计有点帮助？
校友关系比较密切，找工作以及工作以后互相帮忙的多。
现在条件许可的话，都是小孩喜欢哪个学校就上哪个学校，家长考虑那么多没啥用。
文科说的是econ, poli sci, sociology and history 这种专业。
她说的是文科，不是文理学院。文理学院的Math, chem, bio 等都是Stem.

文理学院老师专心教书，大学里很多老师教本科生很敷衍。课程设置方面，文理学院强调广度，可以接触到各个学科的知识想法，鼓励学生了解自己了解社会，坏处是专业知识不够扎实，去读研的时候被秒成渣渣。
在LAC里读Pre Med有优势吗?
州大很多基础课400个人大家连课都不去上，要么教授忙着写proposal 让TA照着PpT念一遍算上课，没有时间有效的给学生回馈和Challenge. 一个完善有深度的高等教育是可以改变人的一生的，还能改变ta在社区家庭的影响力。
如果只看毕业后三年工资就忽略我说的。
感觉文理学院比较均衡吧，说州立厉害的， 看到的都是杀出血路的孩子，那波娃去哪都不差， 还有不少连课都抢不上的， 稀里糊涂的。
LAC 的与大优势是毕业生上的研究生院都是非常好的大学。因为本科有很多科研机会
感觉没什劣势。
我自己觉得还是挺好的，大学本来就是一个比较重要的转型期

估计40岁还在workforce的男文科生很多都是management吧，很多女文科生找不到工作或者工资很低早就退出了workforce
