HISTORY: Left lower quadrant pain. History of IUI an IVF, dates not given
TECHNIQUE: Longitudinal and transverse images through the pelvis performed utilizing transabdominal and transvaginal approach. Endovaginal imaging performed for additional anatomic detail.
FINDINGS:
UTERUS: 11.0 x 3.8 x 6.6 cm. No discrete uterine mass. No intrauterine gestational sac.
ENDOMETRIUM: Central endometrial echocomplex measures 4 mm. Endometrial cavity mildly distended with hypoechoic material presumably blood products..
OVARIES AND ADNEXA:
RIGHT OVARY: 2.9 x 1.8 x 2.3 cm. There is a 1.6 cm cyst that may be exophytic or immediate paraovarian. Immediate. No other adnexal mass.
LEFT OVARY: 3.2 x 1.5 x 2.1 cm. No adnexal mass.
Miscellaneous Findings: No free fluid or focal drainable fluid collections in the pelvis.
IMPRESSION:
1. No discrete uterine mass.
2. Endometrial thickness 4 mm with endometrial cavity mildly distended with heterogeneous and hypoechoic material, presumably blood products.
3. There is a 1.6 cm mildly complex cyst which may be exophytic from the right ovary or immediately paraovarian in location.
