I just read this article. Nathan is described as a quiet kid who came from a wonderful family. Apparently his father was arrested for battery against his wife and they divorced in 2016. The charges were dropped to insufficient evidence. His father passed away in 2017. My impression so far is he probably had a lot of rage that he didn’t know how to control. There were probably issues at home that he didn’t feel comfortable sharing with other people. I’m still confused what his motive is yet. But it sounds like he must have been in a lot of pain the past few years and instead of seeking help for it he took his anger out on the world.
reddit/twitter/the news was very excited to claim him as the asian shooter, theres pictures of a chinese dude floating around the web. but here we are again full circle back to where we left off at ucsb. They really really wanted the shooter to be full asian which is strange because some of their children will be exactly like the one in the picture. White people really hate asian males but they want to raise hapa shooters themselves, something they can't come to realize. every major thread on reddit is quickly downvoting comments if you say hes white and people are spam upvoting hong kong chinese related comments
