We gather here today to express our deepest condolence to Qin Chen, a Facebook employee. Qin committed suicide, jumping off the fourth floor of a Facebook building in Menlo Park, CA, on September 19, 2019. Facebook has shockingly remained silent about Qin’s suicide. No discussion about the incident is allowed within the company. Requests for explanation are labelled as “circulation of misinformation and rumor”. Despite Facebook’s cover-up, multiple social media posts and videos have pointed to the toxic environment in which Qin worked. Talented and diligent as he was, Qin had been bullied and suffered extreme stress in his work for months before his tragic death. How despaired he must have been when he decided to take his own life and leave his wife and young child behind! We demand Facebook to conduct a thorough, transparent investigation of the causes leading to Qin’s death. How can the public trust a company wielding tremendous power over the social life of the whole world if it is indifferent to its own employee’s tragedy? Facebook owes Qin an appropriate response. Facebook owes the public a disclosure of the truth. We are also aware that unreasonable pressure, bullying, and outright discrimination are not unique to Facebook, but present in the wider high-tech community. It is time for Facebook and the other tech companies to shoulder the social responsibility of cultivating a healthy work culture, getting rid of toxic elements, and doing justice to hard-working employees. Such tragedy should never be allowed to happen again. Rest in peace, Qin!"

https://www.michaels.com/elmers-foam-board-white/10110205.html
https://forums.huaren.us/showtopic.aspx?topicid=2455894&page=66###
