Findings: The right lobe measures 45x11x17mm and left lobe 46x13x16mm with isthmus measuring 2.8mm. Small 5.1mm round heterogeneous nodule demonstrating color doppler flow/vascularity is seen upper pole. Left lobe hyperechoic mid segmental nodule is also noted measuring 8.3mm. Thyroid otherwise appears diffusely heterogeneous.
Impression: Overall heterogeneous thyrois gland with few right and left lobe lesions as discussed above.
Case with multiple small size nodules has less cancer risk than case with single big size nodule, and Hashimoto’s thyroiditis can sometimes cure by itself (maybe antibodies are still present, but the patient does not have any symptoms).
