快速分享一下吧：3月时候发现八月飞伦敦的机票很便宜，sfo直飞3个人才$1,200，立马拍板买了两周来回的机票，同时定了south kensington一周的酒店，然后开始考虑要不要第二周去其他国家玩，要不要去爱尔兰，苏格兰等地玩。考虑了太久，去欧洲其他国家的火车票都涨到不现实了，好吧，不去就不去；爱尔兰苏格兰风格粗犷，小娃未必能够领会精髓，最后决定第二周去最美乡村cotswolds感受一下，上oxford看看牛校，再去温莎城堡和乐高乐园玩两天。 主要感受： 1. South kensington地点非常合适。我们从机场有直达地铁到酒店附近。娃一周去了3回natural history museum（真爱啊真爱，还好这些museum都是免费），去diana memorial playground玩了3次（很大很好玩），在VA博物馆玩水喝下午茶，还去了几回wholefoods买水果牛奶，很方便感觉也很安全，购物就更加不用说，harrods什么的走路就到； 2. cotswolds真的挺美的，徜徉其中真是有种进入仙境的感觉。当然如果你带着一个精力旺盛的男娃，可能会大打折扣。好在我们给娃报了两天的summer camp，每天可以child free4个小时，感觉太幸福了； 3. 不知道是运气好还是八月天气就是比较好，两周里面就是两天下了些小雨，其他时间要不晴朗要不多云，刚刚好； 4. 之前一直听说英国旅游很贵，可能现在汇率下来了，而且从湾区过去，感觉和这边消费并没有贵多少，有时候还更加便宜，比如娃的summer camp4个小时只要20英镑！而且参加kids week看剧，买了大人票儿童票就免费，我们看了三场，水准比美国的高了真不是一点点。。。 5. 城堡什么的，大人去就好了，拖着小孩去，大人和娃都遭罪！ 6. oxford university太气派了，后悔没有好好读书，加把劲考进去。。。

The biggest Whole foods market is in High Street Kensington. But you can always buy milk food in Waitrose, the UK version of whole foods. Actually I think Waitrose is better because the food is more fresh.
August is the best month of weather in UK. And this year the weather outperformed even by August standard, not too hot and most sunny. Lucky you.

London is expensive but it offers choice for all price tag. Labor is cheap here saying baby sitter. But rental car and trains are expensive. Nordic countries and Swiss do not offer so many choice. The only way to save is to book early and book smart.

我们south kensington的酒店是chelsea cloister，大概100出头一晚，我们是用chase points支付的。是个经济型的酒店，我们主要看中地点方便还有厨房方便照顾小娃饮食，晚上靠街那边有些吵，不过还在接受范围内。我们需要的是干净安全没有闲杂人等，姐妹们对酒店要求高的就不要去了；
在cotswolds住的是airbnb，还可以，但是发现去几个出名的村庄都要半小时开车，没办法，乡村路窄又是反方向开车快不起来，就不推荐了；
最后几晚是在winsor旁边的oakley court，大概$150一晚。强烈推荐，非常美丽的城堡，和网站图片一样一样的，免费早餐质量超级好，大人小孩都非常满足。地点来说，去温莎城堡也好去legoland也好就大概15分钟车程，去机场也就半小时不到。
我们去的camp是cotswold clubhouse，网上看review不错，地点也方便就在几个出名的村庄旁边，他们的policy是四岁娃最多一天只能呆4小时，五岁以后可以呆全天。我们娃属于外向的，british english虽然有些不同吧，大差不差的大家都可以交流。第一天玩开心了第二天也一点没问题的继续去了。
补充说一下消费，湾区这边像样些的restaurant怎么也要$30per person，summer camp也相对比较贵，我们出发前去的大概是550/30小时（9am-3pm），所以觉得在伦敦市中心样子不错的日本店吃下来$20 per person很便宜味道也不错量也ok，cotswold的summer camp就更不用说了，20英镑4小时，算下来比湾区便宜一半啊啊啊。。。其实之前就有听说英国的私校教育质量高还比美国便宜，感觉真的是这样。

这个我就不确定了。英国很多路面状态不好，地铁站也不一定有elevator，扛着stroller出门分分钟要变身大力士，家附近偶尔干干这事还行，出国旅游两星期天天挑战高难度我是不愿意的。
这个感觉是local啊啊啊。是的我们也去了waitrose，感觉是不错，还有一个dept store Mark & SXXX, 里面的超市也挺好的。不过水果总体感觉没有加州质量好，当然了，加州农产品好像在美国也是排前面的。

我不确定这个是不是每年都有，是不是每年都是同一个时间。只是在搜kids activities的时候误打误撞找到的，感觉真是非常lucky。

英国水果只有夏天的berryes 草莓啥的很好吃 剩下的都靠进口。。。品相不会好的。。。
但是英国的羊肉还有三文鱼 扇贝啥的真的很好吃！
