Dear Customs Officer, My parents comes to visit us and travel in U.S. They planned stay is 6 month. We think the 6-month period is necessary because: I haven't seen my parents for 3 years and 9 months. I miss them desperately and so does them. The 6-month would be the only time the us can stay together. The trip from Beijing to U.S. is very tiring(over 22 hours) for my parents at their sixties and they are not willing to make the trip again in the near future. I have already arranged my working schedule and personal days within the 6 month period so I can accompany them in the planned travel, as indicated in itinerary attached. When my parents visited me two years ago, I did not write any letter for them. When the officer asked them something, they kept on saying Chinese to the guy. Eventually, another passenger walked over and said something to the officer. Then the officer let them go. It turned out that my parents did not fill out the I-94 properly. It may be helpful if you could fax or send them a properly filled I-94.

如果不是需要强调6个月的话，这封信大致就可以比较简单。把回程机票附在后面，自己和母亲的简单情况介绍，以及联系电话，如果海关有什么情况需要联系我们的话。 这种模扳，我手头暂时没有。 mitbbs上有很多的。
