term life通常适用于income replacement for up to 30年,因为term life都是有保险到期日的。

不交遗产税的trust has to be irrevocable trusts. There is no such thing as a trust owner. There is grantor, trustee and beneficiary. Sometimes, the grantor can still own the assets in the trusts such as in a living trust. But not for irrevocable trust. The whole purpose of putting whole life into a irrevocable trust is that the insurance is no longer considered owned by the grantor so it cannot be included in the grantor's estate.
Premium depends on age and underwriting class. Different company has different rate and has nothing to do with agencies. No matter where do you buy the premium should be the same.
MassMutual's whole life products are selling very well these years, mostly due to the high dividends. Most likely it will try to maintain high dividend schedule to keep their ranking in the market. With that, I would be comfortable to stay with them.
As far as the premium vs. guarantee, the higher guarantee, the lower the premium. That is why your premium is much higher. Because if you assume to earn only 3% interest annually, you have to pay more principle upfront in order to get $1M in the future.
However, if the actual earn rate is 6%, then you will receive dividend but the other policy with 6% guarantee rate will not receive any dividend. With that, overall cost should be close but you pay more up front and will get the money back later.
Totally make sense.

It is ok to compare the guarantee and current death benefits but keep in mind that current death benefits are for illustration purpose only. The insurance company could illustrate with 10% dividend but it is not guaranteed and the actual dividend depends on the company's assets investment performance. I would say guaranteed 6% is pretty high given current interest environment and too good to be true. But I didn't see the contract so I cannot tell if there is any hidden trick.
我的insurance是held by a trust.
Modified
https://www.irs.gov/help-resources/tools-faqs/faqs-for-individuals/frequently-asked-tax-questions-answers/interest-dividends-other-types-of-income/life-insurance-disability-insurance-proceeds/life-insurance-disability-insurance-proceeds

then it is not the ordinary whole life..not the limited paid whole life as lZ...
我买的是whole life legacy 20 pay.
