CAFT OPEN LETTER TO NPR FOR IMMEDIATE PRESS RELEASE NOVEMBER 2, 2016 We, the members of the Chinese Americans for Trump movement (CAFT in a short form) and the organizers of Aerial Message Campaign, express our deepest concerns and frustrations on the disturbing and biased media coverage conducted by the Seattle NPR stationon November 1st, 2016, of the CAFT and our Aerial Message Campaign. CAFT is a group of Chinese American volunteers, who agree with the Republican presidential candidate, Mr. Donald J. Trump, on many issues, such as law and order, national security, fair trade, public education, and defense of the Constitution. These issues are American issues, therefore our issues. We sincerely appreciate Mr. Trump’s great service to this great nation by running for the Presidency of the United States of America. We, along with Mr. Trump, and all patriotic Americans, want to Make America Great Again! Over 8,000 CAFT volunteers are available in all 48 continental states, including the great state of Washington, and we are still in an effort to reach Seattle NPR station to seek a fair publicity which presents the CAFT and our Aerial Message campaign to the American people. Unfortunately, the Seattle NPR skipped CAFT volunteers and interviewed a foreign national, Mr. Haoyu Wang, who is an international student at the University of Washington on behalf of CAFT. We find that Mr. Wang’s comments are absurd and unacceptable. Mr. Wang is not an American, and he has no grounds whatsoever to represent the hard-working, law-abiding Chinese Americans.
We demand that the Seattle NPR publically apologize to CAFT about the misrepresented media coverage. We also ask that more than 8,000 CAFT members stand firmly and in solidarity behind Mr. Trump to win the general election. We encourage each of you to go to www.caftmovement.com for more information.
I have been listening to NPR for many years while commuting to work and I am a supporter for Hillary Clinton. However, I am deeply concerned about a recent NPR news report and an article titled “A trump win would help China. That is why this Banner flew over Seattle.” As far as I know, like all other Americans, Chinese Americans have different opinions about which presidential candidate is the best choice for USA. While some of them do not agree with me in their political views, they are fellow Americans and they care deeply the well-being of this country. I was appalled to see that NPR used the opinion of an F-1 visa student from China, who is neither a US citizen nor a green card holder, to imply that the pro-Trump Chinese Americans intend to "bring American down" . This is essentially implying that pro-Trump Chinese-Americans are traitors. In all the turmoils of this election cycle, I have never seen any respected news channel making such kind of accusation to a group of minorities that support a major party candidate. There have been reports about pro-Trump Black Americans and pro-Trump Hispanic Americans. Nobody imply that they intend to "bring American down". The racism against all Chinese Americans in this NPR news is unprecedented.
I hope that NPR will take this matter seriously and publicly apologize for this misleading news.

This sentence is confusing. On behalf of CAFT should not follow immediately who is...People may think he is on behalf of CAFT.

对啊,这句 on behalf of CAFT 啥意思啊,变成这个学生代表CAFT了又。希望还没发,赶紧改以改,措辞要更严肃点。

Dear Sir or Madam:
I have been listening to NPR for many years while commuting to work and I am a supporter for Hillary Clinton. However, I am deeply concerned about a recent NPR news report and an article titled “A trump win would help China. That is why this Banner flew over Seattle.” As far as I know, like all other Americans, Chinese Americans have different opinions about which presidential candidate is the best choice for USA. While some of them do not agree with me in their political views, they are fellow Americans and they care deeply the well-being of this country. I hope that NPR will take this matter seriously and publicly apologize for this misleading news.
Sincerely yours,
This sentence is confusing. On behalf of CAFT should not follow immediately who is...People may think he is on behalf of CAFT.
是law-abiding 扶额。。。。
多谢指出错误,打字一着急加上self-correct就出错了。
