(Go back your F**king country)。”
(EVERYONE belongs in NYC. What doesn’t belong here are comments like you heard today.)
I think the real problem with 华裔 is that we don't FIGHT, we always seek help from Dems or GOP, we support whoever pretends to offer protection. Wake up people, get strong, get together and rely on ourselves. Fight.
Also many comments are insightful, yet very depressing to read...this is 2016 for god's sake.
Andrew Wong New York, NY 2 hours ago I'm a fourth generation Chinese-American. My father and his father were born in the U.S. I grew up in Queens and have lived in a co-op on the Upper East Side for 16 years. Soon after our twins were born my wife, also Chinese-American, was in the elevator with our children one day and a woman asked her, "Oh, who in the building had twins?" This woman assumed that my Ivy League lawyer wife was the nanny. A couple of times after picking up take out food I have been admonished by people in my building for my taking the regular elevator instead of the service elevator - with the assumption that I as a delivery person, not a resident. We have a long way to go.

We have the ability and education level to respond when something like this happens. Those among our community who don't speak English fluently, who live in poverty, who don't have access the the mechanisms of power are the ones who suffer these indignities to a much greater degree. We have all seen the proprietor of a small Chinese take out restaurant or a Chinatown parking attendant be treated like this. When someone feels that one of us can be treated like that it hurts us all. That is why it is critical that those among us who have the resources respond to these attacks, whether it is from a well dressed woman on the UES or from Jesse Watters on Fox News. Thank you for writing this article, for working in journalism, and for exposing the racism that Asians continue to face in this country.
Mary M New York 6 hours ago Thank you for sharing this story. I'm of European heritage and lived my childhood in a bubble. But, now I'm part of an interracial family and watching my very American, Asian featured daughter be treated as an outsider has been stunning, painful and eye opening. The first incident, when she was four, a man in the subway accused me of importing her. She and her father, whose face she inherited, were born in NYC. The most recent incident was a routine traffic stop upstate. The officer asked for her license, which she produced, then wanted her social security number, finally he asked if she was born in this country. She was just a passenger in the car.

这些法案华人可以play by the rule去influence,去改变!

Wake up people, get strong, get together and rely on ourselves. Fight.

再说十几年就有这种trash了, 我在超市里一黑老太跟我叫“go back to china”, 我叫她“go back to Africa”

white trash is everywhere
很多人被老黑骂go back to china
I am tired of fighting, what we are fighting for ?
