《华尔街日报》今报道,民航官员表示失联客机的调查将重点关注客机上成员蓄意改变航线,并试图掩盖客机所在的可能位置,报道称官方怀疑起飞后两个不同系统相继关闭,机上应答机的关闭使得空中交通管制人员难以通过雷达系统跟踪飞机位置。

美联社引述马来西亚官员透露，马方调查人员总结得出，失联的马航客机，遭到其中一名机师或者其他有驾驶经验的人士劫持，不过这名官员说，暂时还不知道劫机的动机，以及为何会选上马航的客机。不过他就强调，劫机的说法，并不是猜测，而是结论。

美联社北京时间12时14分报道，一位参与调查的马来西亚政府官员今天表示，调查人员已经确认，有一位或以上拥有资深飞行经验的人员劫持了失联客机，关闭通讯系统，改变航线。劫机人员未说出动机，也未提出诉求，尚不清楚飞机被开往何处。
