Neuralink的研究预计将于2026年初步完成，2031年全面完成。这项研究将招募年龄在22岁到75岁之间的患者，他们需要患有四肢瘫痪等疾病。根据数据库上公布的资格标准，患者必须在至少一年时间内活动受限且没有改善，预期寿命大于或等于12个月。符合条件的患者必须因为脊髓损伤或一种称为肌萎缩侧索硬化症(ALS)的神经系统疾病，导致手、手腕和手臂的运动非常有限或无法运动。
