BREAKING NEWS: Democrat Tennessee Rep. Gloria Johnson was NOT expelled from the Tennessee House after a vote. She was asked moments later why fellow Democrat and African American, Justin Jones was expelled and she was not.

被开除的琼斯和皮尔逊是议会中2名最年轻的非裔议员，没有用扩音器带头喊口号的强生是白人。“田纳西人报”（The Tennessean）报导，6名共和党人跑票，针对开除强生投反对票。
根据“田纳西人报”，皮尔逊和琼斯在众议院会议期间首先走上讲台，并用扩音器高喊枪支改革口号，后来强生才加入。
总统拜登表示，这3名议员的遭遇为不民主的惩罚。
在田纳西州，众议院投票表决开除当选的议员相当罕见，通常只是针对严重的不当行为。
