Hoover was president then.Then for 24 yrs America's economy became strong under Democrats FDR & Truman.Then came Republican Ike and the 1st major recession since the Depression.The next major recession happened in the early 1970's when Nixon was president.Then America experienced two major recessions in less than 10 years under Reagan & Daddy Bush.The stock market crash of 1987 happened under Reagan.Then came the Great Recession under Republican Baby Bush W Jr.It’s the Trump party now.

川普的账号在2021年1月6日的国会骚乱后遭封禁，以阻止“进一步煽动暴力的风险”。2022年11月，当时刚刚收购推特的马斯克恢复了川普的账号。但川普始终拒绝重返该平台，而一直在自己创办的社交媒体平台Truth Social上发帖。2023年8月，在川普因干预选举被乔治亚州指控后，他时隔两年半再次在X上发帖，发布了他的狱照。
在2024年竞选周期，X也留下了一些最令人难忘的时刻。今年8月，川普缺席了共和党总统参选人的首场辩论，他接受前福克斯新闻主播卡尔森(Tucker Carlson)专访的全程被发布在X上。上个月，拜登总统在X上的一封公开信中宣布了退选的消息。
同样值得注意的是，在2023年5月，佛州州长德桑蒂斯(Ron DeSantis)利用该平台正式启动他的总统竞选活动，但与马斯克的对话饱受技术故障影响，一些用户没有声音或无法访问直播。
在与川普对话之前，马斯克在平台上发帖称，X正在进行“一些系统扩展测试”，以应对大量参与者涌入的情况。
在接受马斯克采访的几个小时前，川普在他的X账户上发布了一段两分半钟的视频，其中包括他执政期间的片段，配音说道：“他们不是针对我，他们是针对你们，我只是碰巧挡了他们的路，我永远不会离开。”
川普此后发布了多条帖子，并预告了与马斯克的对话。其中一条帖子写道：“你现在过得比我当总统时好吗？我们的经济崩溃了。我们的边界被抹去了。我们是一个正在衰落的国家。让美国梦再次变得可负担。让美国再次安全。让美国再次伟大！”
目前还不清楚川普是否将永久重返X，他在该平台上拥有超过8800万粉丝，远超他在Truth Social上的750万粉丝数。
