Want to buy an entry level DSLR and narrow down to cannon t3i and nikno d5100. Though either should be good enough for a newbie, i'd still like to hear some suggestions from experienced people here. What are the main difference between these two type? I heard d5100's battery life is almost twice as t3i, does it matter a lot?

T3i advantages:
video features
wireless flash control
slightly better viewfinder.
ergonormic
D5100 advantages:
newer sensor (image quality is a little bit better)
battery life
price (maybe?)
D5100 battery is pretty good. I had planned to buy a backup batteray, but after couple of weeks, I don't need to worry about it.
So far so good. I am happy.
