"A true friend will always stab you in the front." - Oscar Widle
You’d think a friend would be someone that doesn’t stab you. Oscar Wilde, a playwright from the last generation, disagrees. True, a friend does not stab you in the back. But a friend is not indifferent towards you, either. You know your true friends, Wilde says, because they care enough to stab you in the front.
"Being Nice can be selfishness"
Being nice can be code for being insincere. In other words, “nice” can be a pleasantry, a superficial covering over what we really think. We take our thoughts and say them “nicely.” When this characterizes a group of people, you don’t have a community that is attractive because of its depth and honesty. You have a community that is attractive because it is shiny and happy. Most people have grown to be wary of communities that are too “nice” in this way.
I found the statement interesting and with truth in it, as least to me. I like to "speak my mind" and appreciate the same from others. IMHO, when saying something nice, it should be true feeling, not fake praise; when seeing a mistake done by a close friend, better to "stab" him/her in front and in time. In real life, this is "easy said than done", of course. And one shouldn't be judgmental as no one is perfect and we may not know the whole truth.
So I practice this daily with Maowi the cat when he is around .
Have a good weekend everyone !

animal's emotion is simple & endure. As for human, no forever friend no forever enemy, enemy won't get the chance to stab u in the front, only friends can.
