Weekly ikebana

I was hesitant to post this week’s ikebana because it didn’t turn out as expected, with the short tree branches which are out of proportion for the container and sparse flowers that can hardly be seen. 

 

I posted the second one to show what the tiny flowers on the tree branch look like.

 

Materials: 

sunflowers and tagetes which I bought from the farmer market nearby my home.

 

branches from a tree in my backyard, though I'm not sure of its name. In summer, it blooms tiny flowers; In winter, it bears fruit that resembles red beans.
