On Dec 14, my beloved e-bike clocked 2024 miles. Riding a bicycle to me is not a hobby or an exercise but a lifestyle change, which is made easy by the bike's throttle and paddle-assistance. I feel grateful for the bike-awareness of the community.
Here's a list of photos of places it has taken me this year.
1. Alameda creek trail, facing the bay. Coyote Hills Regional Park in sight. I was on my way back to the peninsula, without the oppress of toll (Dumbarton charged $8.00 westbound, quadrupled over 16 years).
2. Coyote Hills from the levee.
3. One Sunday, on my way back from shopping at Sunnyvale Hankok market, before Grant Rd., Los Altos. Clouds were gathering, but it didn't rain that day.
4. Secured on the train. No problem. And I'm getting better at lifting 70lbs over the steps at the entrance.
5. Off the train and on my way to Jiu-jitsu, Menlo Park, before taking a left turn. I follow the same rules as other motor vehicles, simple.
6. Caltrain Station, Palo Alto, on my way back from the gym. I was checking out their Clipper Card machines.
7. The shady trail between Palo Alto High School and the Caltrain track. A hidden gem. Who'd suspect such a serene passage through all the hustle and bustle of downtown businesses and a major transit hub?
8. High clouds, taken on the Stanford Dish trail. The place is always busy and it could take 20-30min to find parking. I enjoy riding right up to the trail head, choosing a bike-parking slot, and wasting no time at the entrance. One has to experience the pain first to appreciate the joy.
9. High clouds (there must be a better name for them), taken facing Santa Cruz Mountains. Fwy 280 was totally hidden.
10. Quiet street on my way back, from BJJ, the Dish, or the Library.

12. Residential buildings at San Antonio center, Mountain View, one block west of the site of Shockley Semiconductor Lab where Silicon Valley started.
