I never had a real photographic trip or tour, always spending all my vacations with my family every time going back to my hometown, casually took some photos or video clips to recorded the trip. Now I have been back for more than a week and am still struggling to pick a topic to post. May be a brief of the people and life can be a good point.
I was born somewhere else and brought here by my parents. Now I feel like an outsider when I came to the place I grew up. One reason is my accent. I used to live in the environment with mixed accents, made it impossible to pick up any particular one, so I learned standard Mandarin, and now I feel like a foreigner walking in the apparent Mandarin tuned with various local dialects. I am very sensitive to voice. Different districts of this city have their own local accents. I am hearing more accents now. This does not surprise me--a relatively new city with people from all over the country and the demographic structure is always changing. There are people who were attracted by the outside world and left, and there are also people who are attracted by her and come in. No matter who are here whenever I am among them, the solid feeling of my town and my people always comes to me.
Leisure time, pre-retiree or already?
1. elders' routine 2. The elder and caregiver's routine 3. elders' routine 4. Sports don't necessarily reward long life, but the truth of life is keep moving, motionless is the dead, move as you can. A rolling stone gathers no moss 5. A drooling corner of a grocery store 6. Young generation 7. Young generation, will they grow old under the parents' wings? or will they venture out like us?
