these are two separate rental contracts ( as you made two transactions thru priceline), you can NOT assume your second term rent is the coninuous part from the first one.
from acoounting point of view, the charges now hertz is asking from you is the late/over-use charges form the first rental, that is the different type and rate to the normal rental cost from the second rental.
priceline is only the middleman, they dont care about the nature of your rental contracts.
you have to talk directly with hertz, see if you can get them negotiated on teh charges.

so the correct way is to make sure priceline/hertz gets back the money to you from the 2nd rental as it did not happen, then you negotiate with hertz on reducing th penalty/charge from this 1st one.

租车合同上有逾期多少钱一天和信用卡号码. 过期了自然向信用卡收钱. 如果楼主订车时采取预付，楼主在订的时候付了二笔钱，就多出一笔了. 楼主应该问预定的第二笔钱去哪里了，要回来.
延期的charge是有合同的，你没按时还车，人家按天charge，这是合同上写的，很难讲理。信用卡暂时把钱给你，但如果调查之后，Hertz提供合同和还车证明，这笔钱会重新拿走。
在priceline订的第二次租车可能比较好商量，因为你没拿车，没签合同，没用服务，过了24小时自动被cancel了，你顶多交一天的钱，碰上好说话的客服，可能都给你免了。

她是从priceline订的， 不是从hertz。这个条款不一定适合。priceline 和租车公司有特别的合同条款。一般来说比从租车公司直接订会便宜点。
