The most unforgettable experience of my life was one of my interview experiences when I applied for residency.
After I was interviewed by a residency program, I was thinking about how I could impress the interviewers among so many good candidates. I was not confident about my English as most of other interviewees' official languages were English.
During the recess time, I chatted with another candidate who happened to have a friend finishing her interview in my next interview program. She told me that the program offered prematch to very good candidates. I thought that would be a good chance to avoid the tedious unpredictable residency match processes.
On the day of my interview, the chairman asked me to introduce myself. This was a typical interview question. I answered very well.
When he introduced this program as wrapping up, at the time when he introduced the chance of fellowship program in the future after residency graduation, I said, "That's why I applied to our program!"
Seemed he was very satisfied with my performance, and he said, "If we offer you a prematch, are you going to accept it?"
"Sure! I would be very happy to accept it!"
"All right, we are going to offer you the prematch today! Please withdraw from the match!" "Thank you very much! I will do!"
Happiness happened so fast and gave me the chance to fulfill my dream in the US.
You must have done an outstanding job to have a pre-match
offered to you on the spot. Pre-match sounds like early decision for college admission. Hopefully, this pre-match also happened to be your highest ranked program.
I am very satisfied with the program. I did have some
other interview opportunities， but most of them wouldn't offer prematch. To secure a residency spot matters to me. I got my prematch in Nov，while the official match would be out till March in the next year. So，the prematch saved me 4 months，and also saved me a lot of interview expenses on flights and hotels.

是我面试的这个residency program 提前给了我internship的offer，但需要我退出全国match系统，这样我就不会去别的residency program了。
我们这工程部门需要新招一个mechanical designer, 上午来了一个刚硕士毕业的伊朗裔年轻人应聘,正在互相介绍时, CEO来到工程部.
他是个half-decent man, 每天早晨脾气特别坏, 每天production meeting 都要暴跳如雷, 但到了下午就变成每个人的最好朋友. 能力挺强.
来的时候正是他脾气最坏的时候, 进来先大喊大叫, 把那个面试者吓得一愣. 然后他注意到了这个面试者, 问这是谁?
有个项目经理告诉他,这是正在进行面试mechanical design 的candidate,
然后他冲着项目经理喊道: give him a computer, get him to work.
So he got the job.
