There is something called ego that has blinded me to the light of truth. In other words, I had an attitude problem, even though I have never been rude to anyone in social media. I thought I was open to ideas until I found out that I wasn’t. That had nothing to do with my young age. That had everything to do with my young ego. I should own my ego. Instead. I let it own me, big time. It could be a big mistake, too.
A big mistake is a small mistake dismissed as a matter of course. I did not dismiss a small mistake of mine as a matter of course, but I did fail to take it seriously at the earliest possible time. I’d better binge-watch Titanic movies. Hubris sinks ships.
To make a long story short, I failed to check the correct usage of a certain word in my writing, which a well-meaning fellow netizen had pointed out. I wrongly put too much faith in the fact that English is my first language. Native English speakers may misspeak. I should have known better. A slip from my perch of illusion jolted me to my senses. Call it a rude awakening.
I stopped short of putting the full story upfront because I am not sure if my fellow netizen would like the idea. The well-meaning netizen has the final say in this matter. Anyway, the verdict is in. No jury is out on that.
A competitive young person tends to be ambitious and confident.
I like young people's energy, spirit, enthusiasim, and intrepidity. I don't consider you to be egotistical as you stated that you have neve been aggressive and arrogant to the others.
I have to answer you in silence regarding your question about my alma mater. Self-disclosure is never my strong suit in social media. But, I recall that you have asked about my town and I gave you a straight answer.
I take it as a compliment. Honestly, kids are sponges. They
absorb things early and fast, if positively motivated and reinforced. In light of my personal experience, I had never been forced into some weekend Chinese program in Chinatown.
Ambitisous young people are by nature, and by necessity, full of drive, confidence and determination. I, for one, would rather our young people keep these precious qualities of theirs than reduce themselves to timid wimps. That they may be found to be a bit overconfident on occasion should not worry us, as those real winners amoun them, those of 小羊's ilk, are consciencious, with enough self-discipline and just the right amount of introspection, to not go too far and learn from their rare, little, transgressions on the way toward ever bigger accomplishments.
Oh, I would not even call whatever happened here "transgression", whatever that means. A tiny little hiccup, perhaps, nothing worth dwelling on. So let's all move on and work together to make 梅雨潭 ever more successful.
What is right is right. What is wrong is wrong.
This is easier said than done.

I am 25 forever
my comfort zone for too long. Self-criticism is not a bad way to get some insight.
Please PM your picture as punishment.
Study shows child at up to 5 yrs old can take on 5 languages. Learning 2nd language before 10 yrs old is the best timing

very commendable, this intelligence had grown in you at such young age
But, of course, you are just kidding. You have such a good sense of humor.
Haha, indeed, I am kidding. Please forget it .
a lot of people look like you in those retro fashion pictures
The Cambridge History of China. It's an amazing narrative of the Chinese civilization. No one should miss it, in my humble opinion.
self-criticism is something I can live with.
overconfidence.
