The weather finally warmed up in May after the last snow fall in April. But our province is still in lockdown status.
In the evening of May 7th, I was about to go out for a walk nearby. When I opened the door, a bouquet of flowers on the porch caught my eyes instantly.
I took it in and unwraped the plastic wraper carefully. It was a beautiful bouquet of flowers in red, pink, purple and white colors. There was a card inside a small envelope. In the card, there was a few words: "I appreciate all the things you do for me. Hope we can get together soon" . I was over the moon. It was a Mother's Day gift from my son! Mother's Day on May 8th was a nice sunny day. After breakfast, I walked down to a pathway leading to a park all alone. On both sides of the path, there were some white flowers bush and a few apples trees in half bloom with pink cup-shapped flowers. The grass was sprinkled with purple, white and yellow wild flowers. Birds flitted from branch to branch or from ground to branch, chirping and singing at each other. Walking in this fresh and charming atmosphere, I felt having a whale of a time. What a splendid Mother's day gift I gave to myself: "ME TIME"--doing nothing else, caring nobody else, only pampering myself in nature.
A brook ran along one side of the path. Sometime, the water came into my sight, Sometime, it was hiden in the woods. I followed a narrow path to the edge of the water, gazing down upon the cristal clean waterr, listening to the rippling sound of the water, staring at the ducks.
After about an hour, I strolled over to the park. I sat on a bench and gazed out over the grassland decorated with bright dandelion flowers. I had grown fond of dandelions, not just because I enjoyed eating dandelions. For me, seeing those first popped up yellow blooms each spring made me cheerfull after the long cold and dull winter. The greater part is that dandelions could persevere through all of the difficult living conditions. They are condidered as sysmbols of surviveing and overcoming all of the difficult moments in life.
I picked up some of dandelion flowers and brought them home. I made a dandelion flowers arrangement, in memory of my mother who left us and went to heaven last year.
My mother was just like the dandelion--ordinary but with great strength, persevere and resilience. Whennever life threw a stumbing block in her way, She toughed it out. I wished my mom rest in peace forever with my father.
In the afternoon, when I was having some tea, the door bell rang. When I opened the door, a little boy stood in front of me, a few meters apart. He seemed like to be 9 years old.
"Can I pick a tulip flower from your garden?" asked the boy.
I was a little bit suprised. I would't supprise if it was a girl asking for a flower. but a boy! But then I realized he just wanted to get his mom a Mother's day gift.
"Sure, feel free to get whatever you like" I said. The boy picked a tulip carefully and ran away happily.
At 7pm in the evening, my son called in as planed and said "Happy Mother's day" to me.
In this post you radiate warmth as a mother, a daughter, and a
wonderful human being. What you put in words and pictures resonates with your readers. It's a beautiful life journey because bumps big and small didn't stop you. You've mentioned perseverance more than once. Isn't perseverance beautiful when it has become your second nature?
There are a few wrinkles you might want to iron out.
Awww, it's such a sweet and warm piece full of love!
It's a well-written piece too! Like Yang Yang said, there're a few wrinkles here and there to iron out. Still it is a very nice essay. Enjoyed reading it.
I am in in seventh heaven thanks to your reading and comments
I really appreciate it, LingY.
In fact, you've already helped me a lot by your motivational words and your advise about writing using idioms in other posts.
I will review my writing. Hopefully I can find out some or all the wrinkles myself.
If I can't, it will be very appreciated if you can spare some time to shade me some light on those wrinkles. Otherwise, those wrinkles will be there forever and will apear again in the future.
I don't mind a few wrinkles on my face. But I do want to iron out all those wrinkles on my writing.

I don't mind a few wrinkles on my face. But I do want to iron out all those wrinkles on my writing.
I don't have a chance to be a better daughter anymore.
But I will try to be a better Mom and better person by giving more love to everyone around me.
Thank you.
That is the reason I am still here and I am not afraid to try and to make mistake.
Especially thank you and LingY for pointing out the wrinkles.
I really appreciate it . Otherwise I will never improve. I will do some homeworks to correct .
