I wrote this short poem one Saturday afternoon In April a couple of year ago when I was waiting for friends to come over for afternoon tea and while making flower arrangements with flowers from my garden.
Yes, there were already flowers blooming in my garden in April.
After a long winter's nap, my garden woke up to cheer us with a colorful celebration. The early brilliant bloomers are the most welcome and appealing. Nothing heralds the arrival of spring like them! Years of experiments with different types of plants gradually helped us land the ones that best suit our garden and our interest. Shown in the attached photos are a few kinds of spring early bloomers that work perfect for us. These beautiful perennials are reliable and low maintenance.
They keep providing visual enjoyment even after blooming with their unique foliage, like lungwort, periwinkle and drumstick primrose, adding accents to the shady corners. This is a great advantage to our garden which is surrounded by tall mature trees.
Spring has come. A gardener or not, let's enjoy Nature's beauty with our hands and our hearts.

Spring Celebration with Early Bloomers
"Winter goes and spring comes,
Early bloomers celebrate with colors.
Birds chant and flowers dance,
A new gardening season starts".
