I think Tesla is targetting the die-hard fan for the initial launch who would want full configuration anyway.
Its price is actually $2000 less than current model if you are going for full configuration. Its range also increased on 10 miles to 320 now.
Delivery start in March, so expect Q1 earning projection taking a hit (as people waiting for new model Y) but Q2 start to accelerate
