For American Airlines, AA is the only airline you can spend to achieve airline status, so if you can spend 50k a year on AA co-brand credit card, you are a AA platinum, Citi used to have Citi AA biz card for 75k airline miles but that has been expired, the next best offer is Barclays AA 70k miles with no spending requirements.
Marriott family of cards, breaking down into 2 branches, either with Chase or AMEX, Chase currently offers 3 nights free on the Bournless thru a referral link, the 3 free night certificates are worth 35k each, or if you prefer AMEX offers its Bevy 125k points + additional 50k if you stay 6 paid nights with Marriott, but the annual fee is $250. Please keep in mind that with Marriott, you can not apply for Chase and AMEX at the same time, you can only get one sign-up bonus every 24 months.
Both Marriott and Chase got a high-end Marriott Card, technically speaking Chase lost its right to the high-end card but because Chase used to issue The Ritz Carlton Card, which no longer accepts applications, you can still call in to switch your Marriott Boundless or Bountiful into the RC.
The Ritz Carlton card is no doubt the best value in the Marriott cards, it's a Visa Infinite card, and the annual fee is $450 but you can 1. $300 airline credit for incidental charges, 2. 1 free night certificate on renewal worth 85k points ( this is the one you can exchange to Bora Bora St Regis ), 3. Full access to Priority Pass ( including some airport restaurants, up to $34 per person), 4. if you spend 75k a year, you are Marriott Platinum, 5. Chase primary rental car coverage.
AMEX is currently got the right to issue high-end Marriott cards, the AMEX Marriott Brillant, its annual fee is $650, with 1. automatic Platinum, this benefit alone can worth thousands even if you just stay with Marriott 10 days a year. 2. one free night certificate with 85k points, 3. if you spend $60k a year, you get the Marriott Choice award, in which you can choose either 5 Suite upgrade certificates or 1 free night certificate worth 85k points.
BUT if you have the RC card you can not apply for Brillant, you first need to downgrade the RC card to boundless and wait 90 days then apply for the Brillant, after that, you can request for product change again to upgrade to RC.
Hilton also has a very good promotion also, with all 3 basic cards offering a sign-up bonus + 1 free night certificate. Hilton's free night certificate has no cap limit, so you can redeem it for the most luxury hotels anywhere in the world, sometimes you can exchange it for hotels like 2000-3000/night (for example, the Maldives over the water villas).
Between the Hilton Surpass and the Biz card, the Biz card offers one additional FN if you spend 60k in a year. Hilton's Diamond status can achieve fairly easily, 1. spend 40k on either the Surpass or the Biz card, or 2. get the Aspire card.
the Aspire card used to be the top hotel traveling card, but its benefits are no longer top tier, so I don't recommend getting it now.
Hotel points usually can share or pull together fairly easily, you can open multiple cards on family members and pull the points together to redeem.
3. General Overall cards:
The current overall best offering is the Chase Biz Ink Preferred card, with 100k signup bonus on $8000 spending requirement, rumor says it is exempted from 5/24 rule.

1. Airlines
the best offer I can see currently is no doubt the Chase Southwest airline Biz card with 120k miles, but it's subject to 5/24 rules.
