请问旧金山Potrero Hill 这个区怎样? 是不是非得坐muni bus 去BART or Caltrain?谢谢
坐Muni bus 是不是不好的人比较多? 这个区的北边Design district ( a lot of homeless , soul ?) ,东边与mission bay 和 Dogpatch 区相连,西边mission district (似乎很差?)。 这里购房居住是不是不合适?
不在high tech 工作,不会有车。如果用scooter 去附近的BART 是不是不安全?

The location of Potrero Hill neighborhood is great and has been an area gentrifying for the past 15 years. It's well located, near downtown and with easy freeway access for those working on the peninsula and Silicon Valley in biotech or tech jobs.
You should expect some inconvenience if without a car. Going to BART/CalTrain by Scooter isn't bad idea compare to a bike. but I'll still prefer biking. However, since Potrero is up and down some blocks are really steap slope. Homeless are seen in some areas and along 3rd Street. BTW, if on 3rd St, there will be traffic during game days (Chase Center Basketball or Baseball in ATT park), Lots of young tech guys get in Potrero in recent years, property appreciated a lot. If with out a car and rely on BART, I'll avoid this area, unless have specific reasons such as working in UCSF Mission Bay Campus, etc. Also avoid 3rd Street apartments if you can, even though it is up and coming area. Bayview and Hunters Point are extended areas from 3rd St., some bad apples will show up along 3rd St.
without knowing your address, just give you some idea, taking muni bus to BART / CalTrain is possible, but need to factor in the waiting time. therefore can't control time, it's not that convenient. Also depends on where do you work, downtown or Peninsula, south bay? Ocean View Terrace by 19th Ave/280/Brotherhood is another choice, close to Daly City BART, H-Mart with lots of Chinese food...
