Forgiveness not based on parent's income, only the borrower
While it is true that children of most of people here won't get subsidized loan (no interest during college), they can absolutely get a unsubsidized loan.
$10K forgiveness as long as the borrower (student/graduate) is making less than $125000 single and $250000 married. This has nothing to do with parent's income/asset.

有人说只有7月1号以前的学贷才算？有点怪！有人说年底以前也可？收入要在12.5万一年以下？父母的还是自己的？

其实更重要的是把最低月付从收入的10%减到5%，似乎又是一个通膨的来源，哈哈。

辛辛苦苦培养出来一个孩子，无债一身轻。没几年，找个医生律师老公老婆，上学欠了一屁股债。最后还得帮老公老婆还。
