When your income is low you pay zero income tax on your SS
1) When your income is low you pay zero income tax on your SS benefit
2) When your income get higher and higher, taxable SS benefit also get higher and higher.
3) Soon you will see: For each additional income $, you may pay 30c tax for that $ and pay another 20c for you SS benifit. I.e., for each additional $ of income, you can only keep 50c.
1) IRA income is not counted as your taxable income. (401K is counted and therefor you shall tranfer big percentage of it to your IRA before you start taking SS benefit).
2) Your bank saving & stock are not your taxable income, only interest from saving and capital gain are your income.
3) You can maximize your health spending account and never use it before your retirement
u and me with mr gates...we are all rich...
