大家帮忙看看这个前院路边的植物（图左）是什么？像一堆干草，是不是每年要剪掉？房子里面基本弄好，开始考虑院子了。

Yeah, you should prune back in the fall.  

If the grass was not pruned, it might go to seed and then die.  So I don't know how long the grass has been like this and whether it gone to seed or not.  In any case cut it back and see what is going to happen.

现在正是它开花时，不要割干净吧？只要整理一下既可。

这个要维护，不要处理掉，不是杂草的。我看过有朋友家车库门两边就是这种，风一起，飘得好看极了。

这是去年的花，现在已经是干花了，这草所以叫ornamental grass，干草和花冬天都能看，早春割干净。
