Chinese Society versus Yellow River Society = Republic China/Tai
When we wanted to registry a student society to represent students from (mainland) China in the university student union, we was told there was a Chinese student society. This Chinese student society was registred by the students from Republic of China. We have no choice - either joining this society or having new society. So that we decided to registry our own student society - Yellow River student society. Sometime we were invited by the Chinese student socity for their activities such as watching Chinese movies. Late on I also learned there was a Taiwan student socity - but never had any contact with these "Taiwan" people, also they don't like us neither.
