听了她的故事，心里一直不能平静。毫无疑问，这儿的人从投资理财的角度分析她的故事，提出不少更为“合理”的建议。我不是理财专家，投资纽约也远算不上成功，春妮提到的经历，我也经历过一些，当然背景不一样，家庭情况也不一样，但一桩事情深深打动了我的心。
她的女儿升高中，考取纽约著名的公立高中，史岱文森中学，离纽约世贸中心一箭之遥。可能有些不住在纽约的人不是很清楚这学校有多好。只讲一点，每年的录取率是3%！美国几个最好的大学，比如哈佛，耶鲁，同城的哥伦比亚大学，录取率大概是这高中的三倍。可想而知，学校的毕业生有多少优秀学生被录取到顶级大学。
但是，这位母亲和她的女儿，放弃这学校的录取，选择去纽约一所及其著名的私立高中。学业上我无法比较这二所学校的高低，我知道的是一个免费，一个学杂费可能超过哈佛。
正确的选择？当然！经济上“合算”吗？看您怎么算。说句老实话，我不敢，当然孩子没有考那学校，我逃过了这一选择。

我虽然是送私校的，那学费老实说真是谁付谁知道，只恨自己不是venture VP。听说Trinity要七万一年？私立大学也没那么贵吧.
MA的 Phillips Academy 是私立的。全美排名很前的。

她在学校上班， 就是工作人员， 每年， 每个孩子， 一学期是3000美刀
当然我之当了三天，不是民主选举产生的，是网管根据我在子女坛的提议，建了这个坛，直接把我放到了版主的地位。。。每想到现在成了地地道道的地主坛。我老人家回来看看，居然没人认识第一任版主了。。。。。
从税收到股票，到annuity,到life insurance,唯独没有怎么当地主。
JY时代还有一些理财，他大地主还照顾着理财这个主题。。。后来就完全一个方向了。。。他现在在别的地方看到我，都会给我打招呼的。
我让网管把我拿下来，我喜欢到处跑，写的主题也是随心所欲。。。
不过那时候可真是买房的大好时机啊，房子便宜得跟白菜一样
清贫的孩子上私高，特别是著名私高，同学之间相互攀比心理压力很大
