【英译论语】学而篇 — 5

子曰：“弟子入则孝，出则弟，谨而信，泛爱众，而亲仁，行有余力，则以学文。”

Confucius said:”My students shall respect and treat their elders kindly at home; deal with others modestly and politely in society; to be cautious and faithful always; spread their concern and love to the people as extensive as possible; to be close to the persons with kindheartedness; they could study literature if they still have spare time and energy after completing their daily routine.”

赞茶兄的孜孜不倦

这才几句话，困难还在后面：）谢近兄鼓励。

悠悠万事唯此为大，普及国学不遗余力。拜读。

我一直以为这几句是弟子规里的，原来源头在这里。。。

弟子规是后人根据儒家的思想整理的蒙学教材，相当于学生复述课文。

有很多地方我原来不明白或者理解的不准确，英译时才稍稍明白了一些。

刚才去搜索看到，这里的“孝、悌、谨、信、爱众、亲仁、学文”是弟子规的纲、或说是总述。

继续学习。这样去读，居然是要闲着没事，才去学文。根据这个道理，显然大家都有点闲着没事。。：）

以前一句时髦的话怎么说？时间就象。。。：）
