grew up那一句可以再斟酌斟酌，觉得grow up 在这里不是很合适. It should be something similar to "originate from", but I don't have a good phrase for that either off the top of my head.

Soft green shoots grew out of the trunk of the tree. A bush grew out of the gutter and hung down the front of the house.
