实际上中国造船协会很清楚，福特朱母濒海舰是美军在冷战后利用没有海上对手的空隙，大规模测试新一代平台技术，以此建立新的技术跨度。美军利用这20年的时间，充分暴露了新一代平台技术的缺陷，使得这些新技术得以成熟，从而建立了对他国的新的技术优势。
这与冷战期间不同，冷战期间面对苏联海军的压力，美国必须保证技术研发的及时性，因此必须限制新技术的跨度和应用程度，不能实行上述三舰那样的大跨度革新，只能逐步推进。
所以这20年才会出现让小粉红以为美国突然不行了，干啥都不顺的现象。他们不知道，成熟可靠的技术就是从暴露解决各种缺陷的前提下达到的。一个一帆风顺的项目，要么缺乏技术新颖性，要么就是测试不完整，没有暴露出真正的缺陷来。
